Once again Maryn has made me think differently. I didn't know a lot regarding the topic "logic models". In my head, I knew soon I would be asked to provide a logic model for a grant and then I would be in panic mode. This course is a great explanation of one of the more confusing things in grant writing (and program development) - the logic model. Not only does Maryn break it down so you can actually understand the logic behind the logic model, but she goes on to show you how it can be used outside the grant writing process. I see this helping me and my program directors plan projects and keep clear communication throughout the project. I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants a better understanding of logic models, how to map one out, and how to use one (beyond just making/sending it in in because the funder asked for it). Another Wow! I didn't review immediately after "taking" the course; too busy applying all the valuable material Maryn presents. The material is well focused on what is the substance needed for a proposal, from the action steps to the sharing of partnering missions! I especially appreciated the vertical logical layout; makes it easy to share with my colleague about zeroing in on what really matters - logically. I could easily fill in the Change Map as if being led by a live facilitator. The course clearly lays out the wisdom and rationale of thinking through resources, actions and clarifying the difference between outputs and outCOMES! I refer to the models constantly for useful language and critical thinking. Anybody starting out in fundraising or any project can benefit from this practical, visionary, concrete, easily grasped program and information! On to the next one!
